The Changing Definition of Ambition
Listen to Denise’s perspective on ambition and what it means to be Spiritual & Ambitious. Many of us grew up seeing ambition being harsh and aggressive (for women in particular). As we begin our spiritual journey we assume we have to keep the two separate. But now we can view ambition as being true to ourselves and our desires which can make it an intensely spiritual concept.
Leaning Into Your Life Purpose
After smaller business ventures Denise finally landed on her Money Bootcamp program. We discussed how she knew that was going to be her purpose. She shares she assumed it would be a one-off thing like several other ventures. She admits that sometimes we don’t know what something will turn into at the onset. We just have to move past resistance, get started, and let it evolve.
Top 3 Strategies to Allowing Success to Be Easy
We ask Denise to share her top tips for embodying the “work less, earn more” mentality. She begins with boundaries and how important it is to enforce them. Use tools and processes to help you maintain a healthy physical and mental space. Play into your strengths but be vulnerable enough to accept the help you need in areas where you know you’re prone to self sabotage.
Next is the importance of making tweaks to your business to keep it in line with your authentic self. Resistance shrinks when you work your business in alignment with your natural flow of energy.
Lastly is the mindset shift to “Why Not Me”. Most of being successful is not the logistics. It’s the shift into believing you’re capable. The magic is being able to determine when that feeling of “it’s not quite right yet” is your intuition versus ego and not feeling good enough and worthy. If it truly isn’t the right time to start, fine! But if what’s holding you back is an excuse or limiting belief, then it’s never going to feel right. Absence of fear is not the goal. It’s to not let fear hold you back.
Perfect Doesn’t Equal Worthy
Will life be perfect once we’re wealthy? The truth is, bad things will still happen in life regardless of the size of your bank account. You’ll still be the same person when you deal with those things. You are the same person with AND without the money. Therefore, the money is not going to provide the self-worth needed to go after the big dreams.
Your Message Has Value
Listen as Denise recounts events leading up to writing her most recent book (as well as its 2 predecessors). There is a lot of content out there about the topic. She shares that by reading other books she realized there were none from her unique perspective. There had to be other people out there like her needing to hear about it through the filter of her experience. Sometimes the breakthrough for people comes from hearing something from someone that understands them and shares the unique struggles they have.
